Suggestion

I'm not sure as one car is AWD and the other is RWD, but I doubt that Porsche changed the rear suspension offset on the GT2, so thus the 12" wheels should fit.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cross post from the Wheel and Tire forum... https://rennlist.com/forums/wheel-and-tire-forum/167106-gt2-wheels-ok-for-a-c4s.html

POST 2Original post

turbo and C4S rear wheels are 11" , Gt2 wheels are 12" . Turbo and C4S tires are 295/30 , GT2 tires are 315/30. You may try the recomendations from the tire manufacturer , but I think the 20mm difference would work either way. I know people who have 315 on 11" wheels and they are fine.

POST 3Original post

The turbo, C4S, and GT2 have the same body work, so the same size tires will fit under. The only question is the offest the same on the Turbo and GT2 wheels. I'm not sure as one car is AWD and the other is RWD, but I doubt that Porsche changed the rear suspension offset on the GT2, so thus the 12" wheels should fit. I have seen 315/25/19 on 12" wheels on Turbos, hey I even fit thoes tires on my narrowbody 996 with 10.5" wheels.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the info. My big question really is...can I mount the following snow tires on the 12" rims - 265/30/18, 225/40/18. If not, can I mount the standard tires on my car on them (and then the snow tires on my current wheels)? I'm concerned that a 12" wide wheel is going to be too wide for the snow tires I already have and for the stock tires.

POST 5Original post

No. I think the most that a 265 can fit is an 11" rim. Check with tirerack for their recomendation. 12" is just too wide.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just got off the phone with Tirerack - they say the biggest I can go with the 295 wide tires (std. for the C4S rear) is 11". So...that ends that. Thanks to everyone for their input. Barry
