Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

this is the factory mounted winter wheel set for the Boxster, but they will work on the 993 or 996 as well.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a set of factory 17" twist rims with Dunlop D40 M2 snows from last year ... this is the factory mounted winter wheel set for the Boxster, but they will work on the 993 or 996 as well. Three of the four rims are fine, one front has a curb mark (@#$%^ ex-GF). Maybe 2-3k miles, if that, on them, tons of tread left. $1100 and I'll deliver 'em to the local UPS store, you take it from there. Or, come and get them in Boston. Again, these are Porsche factory rims ... 7 and 9, not the replicas the Tire Rack sells. I drove on these in a 996 C2 cab last winter, in a couple of serious snow storms, and the car handled great and was actually better than @#$%^ ex-GF's Audi TT Quattro on all-season tires (drove them back to back in the same storm). All that weight over the rear wheels makes the 911 very usable in the snow, ground clearance not withstanding. Was gonna put 'em on my C4 this year but I knuckled under and picked up a second car for the winter. Vic 95 C4 cab
