Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

If the area becomes covered in oil...you joined the club .I went through 4 seals before the Dealer replaced the motor this week.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am new to the RMS issue. Where should I look for the leak and what is the issue of tolerance I am seeing on the boards? What does the leak imply as the few people who required engine replacements is quite worrisome.

POST 2Original post

As a past member of the club: oil on the floor directlly in the middle where the bell housing meets the motor. It could be a very small amount to a puddle. I never had much on the floor but would go through a quart every 7500miles. The best way is to clean off the casing and observe over time. If the area becomes covered in oil...you joined the club .I went through 4 seals before the Dealer replaced the motor this week. They did a great job everytime but there was no sealing that motor.. If you do become a member, remember the guys that work on your car did not cause the proble. They are however the only ones that can make it go away.
