Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

91 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It's no secret that I love taking photos and what I love even more is seeing them. And my favorite part of the 996 is the big fat rearend. So I wanted to start a thread to see all the different "butt" shots you guys and gals have of your rides. I'll start with one of my favorites of ours What I'd like to do is swap the exhaust tips with some nicer ones and put a black 911 badge on the rear. Other than that I'm happy with it.

Did someone say butt photos? Here are a few from when we still lived in Indiana. There's a little bonus Cayenne rear end in one too...

This photo brings up a question I had on my car. You see that hose directly to the right of your son? Is it supposed to just pull straight out of the connection to the engine or is there some kind of clip that holds it in? On mine you can pull up on it and it comes right out and I noticed with the engine running it had a good amount of vacuum on it. Seems to me like it would need a better seal but I could be wrong. Anyone know?

POST 13Original post

I guess I should have let her warm up and cook of the moisture before taking the pic ... oh well. next time.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I like it! The smoke gives it character.

POST 15Original post

Toomanycars, That first pic of yours is simply fabulous. I love yellow Porsches (aka my 951).

POST 16Original post

I couldn't resist. Unfortunately she is sitting in a shipping container in Australia at the moment so probably not looking quite as nice.

POST 21Original post

I'm amazed this thread hasn't turned off color yet...

POST 23Original post

Damn they look great. @roadsession, I recognize the building and nice night shot! For mine, will have to wait until Spring....then need to schedule a shot with the photographer.

POST 24Original post

toomanycars - There is a little ring clip that holds the end of the hose (white fitting) on the the socket. If yours pulls out easily you are missing the ring clip.

Pongopaz - I love the last pic with 2 silver 4S's! Now that I see them both side by side, I really don't know which exhaust tips I like more. I have the sport ones on the right, but the more I look the more I'm starting to like the normal ones! Hmmmm

Yes - me too. I bought the dual ovals, then the dual tips - and went back to the normal MK2 Ovals.

POST 48 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 8325806

I have the normal tips on mine as you can see in the first post but I really want the dual tips. I think on a stock car the normal tips look better but when you add a bigger wing the dual tips help set it all off.
