Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does the number of previous owner impact on the price or value of the vehicle? I know some dealers advertise a single owner vehicle to be a selling point. But would you avoid cars year 2000 that have 4 previous owners with low miles 24k?

POST 2Original post

I wouldn't avoid it......mine had a couple of ownere...and the car was what I wanted!...10K miles later and still going strong! Low mileage is the problem for me.....because it means the car has been sitting still and this means drying of rubber, seals etc......but buying a used car is always a little bit of a gamble...have it PPI before you buy

POST 3Original post

Knowing the number of "previous owners" of your next girlfriend may be more important than the number of previous owners of a Porsche.

POST 4Original post

If you're going to buy used, the only way to do it is directly from the first and only owner. (jmo) That said, I'm having a hard time finding a one-owner 98 C2S other than from you-know-who!
