Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I want to add the aftermarket pedals similiar to eBay, et al. I like the look of both the straight aluminum and those with the rubber nubs. For anyone that has mod'ed with either, is there a preference? I like the look of the solid aluminum, but having never driven with them, they look like they might be a bit slippery. I did a search , but cant come up with any solid answers, thanks.

POST 2Original post

I have some that were designed to have the rubber tips in them, but I do NOT have the rubber inserts. They are not slippery, even with leather soled shoes. I installed them in February of this year ahd have yet to have them slip.

POST 3Original post

This is a purely aesthetic preference. Tim likes his without rubber bumps, but I do. I track my car quite often as well as drive the car almost every day and NEVER had a slippery episode. I got my pedals from Gert (Carnewal).

POST 4Original post

I just got a set of Schnell "bumpless" pedals from Vertex. I think it's amatter of taste as to which you go with, but either way looks better than the OEM pedals. You have to like it when there is no wrong answer.

POST 6Original post

Can you feel the bumps with driving shoes on? I like a lot of contact, especially at the track. Been thinking about pedals, but I am sort of hung up on the bumps because I don't want to feel them through my driving shoes. Good question, QCC4.

POST 7Original post

I can't feel them. Doesn't matter if I have driving shoes, regular shoes, or flips. No difference.

POST 8Original post

The cargraphics are not slippery when wet. They have angular solid aluminum bumps.

POST 9Original post

I've got the same pedals as John D II, no problems.
