Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Use rsr cf roof panel' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use rsr cf roof panel' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Er...don't ask why..i think i might have slipped a few screws in the ol' knoggin. Can someone point me in the direction of someone who will make one and for those of you race guru's who may have already done this, is the weight savings anything substantial? (a.k.a more than 10lbs or so?)
Not sure if he would or not, but this Ebay seller, ruf_gt2, has a carbon fiber manufacturing business. He made me some stuff a year or so ago. Of course, he would have to have a mold and that means a complete dash. They can be had from time to time on ebay for a lot less than you would think. I bought an instument surround...whole leather bolt in piece that houses the gauge cluster for 25 bucks. No affiliation, I just bought some CF pieces from him.
gota, not yet, i'll give them a call monday.
not sure whether MA would go out of their way to make me a single piece tho, as i cannot imagine there is too much interest in an entire dash unit made of CF (hell not even the RSR and cup cars come with them..which should be my first clue that this is a dumb idea).
have to ask Why?
There are a lot of other weight saving parts that would do the trick.
if it's bling - OK
how about using an RSR CF roof panel? or front fenders - light wheels, PCCB's, etc.
^ bling plays a certain roll lol. but i think i'm going to abandon the idea for now because it really doen't offer much weight savings probably.
Already got the light wheels, PCCB's are out because i'm pretty sure i'd roast them, and fast.
Almost all of the CF parts you buy for the looks are the origional plastic part covered with CF. It would probibly add more weight than the plastic and leather does. The CF has lots of clear coats used in the process.
My other advise is to consider that the dash on most cars usually has a low gloss or flat color. This is because it reflects the light from the outside against the windshield and would blind you if it was glossy. So if youve ever driven a car with the CF dash trim strips, you would know even that small amount of gloss really reflects and distracts your vision. So, if you had a whole CF dash, it would be un drivable. Check the 928 column and see what those guys say about their CF dash that someone is manufacturing for 928s.
But if you still want one, theres a shop in Tampa that will CF anything and it will equal porsche quality. C2 Design c2dusa.com
Isn't the whole idea behind the PCCB's that they cool down faster thus have less wear? Also not sure how much unsprung weight they save.
I certainly wouldn't drop 8g's on them, but I'm curious.
