Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Now if you want to rewire the entire car, and add a head unit, then you can add a amp and sub, I changed all of my speakers when i did this, the rears are something like 2 ohms, and the stock subs were 1 ohm.

Suggestion
Most people would just plan on removing everything and building up a system with all the cd/dvd/cd changers/sat sound they choose and replacing all the speakers with much better ones and especially devising a good woofer setup.

Suggestion
If you have the bose amp in the front compartment, you cant use the exhisting signal wires anyway.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I never looked, but theres probibly an aftermarket adapter to break out of the factory harness and jump to a normal amp. But if theres none avaliable, a car stereo shop could probibly do it one way or the other. If you have the bose amp in the front compartment, you cant use the exhisting signal wires anyway. So youre looking at a completely new wireing job anyway. It would probibly be as cost effective and better results to just buy a new am/fm/cd and a multi channel amp from the same mfg. and do away with the stock unit. Then you would get more functionality with the reciever and its control of the amps eq and sub functions.
You can probibly have any shop build a good enclosure for some spot in your car and end up with a slightly custom set up that does what you want.

You should go to a few local car stereo shops and see what there is avaliable and ask what they could do in your car.
I did, but I'm looking at some thing simple and not too over the top. I was thinking of taking the speaker level output from the radio to the amp and then power a subwoofer......
No the 04 has the MOST bus system, If you want to add a amp and sub, the stock becker can NOT be used. Now if you want to rewire the entire car, and add a head unit, then you can add a amp and sub, I changed all of my speakers when i did this, the rears are something like 2 ohms, and the stock subs were 1 ohm. not good for what i wanted, if you want any advise PM me and I will pass along any information i have .
