Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The 996 was designed to run with 18" wheels, but if you get the right offset etc.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So, what are the positives and negitives, to a 996 C4 which has 19inch rims, with front tires of 235, and rear tires of 315?
Gimmie all the pluses and minuses please.
Anyone have a similiar setup with photos?
What are the widths of the wheels and what are the profiles of the tires? The 996 was designed to run with 18" wheels, but if you get the right offset etc. the 19" wheels will work. Personally, I wouldn't do it. You'll be more prone to bending the wheel plus you're carrying more weight. I don't like the look of those big cartwheels either.
Try to find out what the stock sizes are for that car, and what the current sizes on it are, and then go to
http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp
to see if it measures up. I think the 315 may be too wide for that car, but I can't say for sure.
If you are talking about the numbers you posted then no.....
The first number refers to the width of the tire
The second number refers to the profile (ie, thickness or section height)
The third number refers to the wheel size
Here's a good article that explains it better than myself:

So, how would I know the weight of the rims without looking up their size by model number and manufacturer? You think these won't handle well on this car?
Without knowing the exact model/size/offsets/weight of the wheels and brand/model of tires, I don't think you can definitively say anything good or bad. A lot of people "upgraded to" and run 19" and are happy. I think consensus is that for pure handling, you are better off with 18". I wouldn't let wheels be a deal-breaker since you can always change them.
If the price is right, don't worry about the wheels. You can get brand new wheels and tires for $4,000 to $8,000. I don't like 19" wheels, but a lot of people do. They are pros and cons, but it comes down to what you're looking for.
