Yeah with that offset you would have to run like a 275/30/18 or something tight...

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 2Original post

I think you get what you pay for and I would not buy those.

POST 3Original post

Personally I love them!!! I had mine powdercoated. They are made by BSA in Australia.

POST 4Original post

Are those the same ones as Sandovals??? Maybe it's the black powdercoating that changes everything. For the street? Nice bling. For the track? Not a chance!

POST 5Original post

http://www.bsawheels.com.au/users/home.aspx Front wheels weigh 22.8Lbs 18X8 Rear 25.6Lbs 18X10

POST 6Original post

You do get what you pay for..but they look good on the yellow car. If you want a good wheel to go out and beat up on does the trick for sure. 3piece HRE, Kinesis, and IForged wheels you are paying for that machine time and rings. They dont come cheap. I have owned lots of cars with high end forged wheels and cast wheels. No matter what you hit they will bend if you hit it hard enough. I say go for it! You got a person that has them already

POST 7Original post

I was looking at those exact wheels. Those are the closest thing to the Kinesis F110 wheels, which give me a woody every time I see them. Unfortunately, Kinesis F110 wheels do not come in 18" and are waaaay too many $$$$$ to justify! I really like the looks of the BSA wheels, but the rear offset of 45 won't work for my narrow-*** C2. With that offset, I figure the rear tires would stick out like the tires on the Monster Truck BIG FOOT! If they had a 58 rear offset they would be mine!

POST 8Original post

Yeah with that offset you would have to run like a 275/30/18 or something tight...

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Dan/vivid, I was not really looking for wheels, but your famous post with the pictures of the silver turbo got my wheels spinning so to speak(sorry for that one). Those Kinesis k28 has two versions that I saw on your link that definitely got my attention. I fugure I will burn up my tires on my unhollow spokes and put track tires on them. I am one of those people that when I see a few choices that would accomidate my C4s and the silver color, I will start dialing and spending. Please show me all the options for a silver wide body car and make it easy to buy. BTW, I am not intersted in going to 19s unless somebody tells me that there are only positives. I thought about buying som e hollowspokes/turbo wheels but since since seeing Dans post I think I can make a pretty quick decision. It seems that silver is tough, at least for me and th Kinesis are around 1300 a corner.Gentlemen, your thoughts please...........tia Steve

POST 10Original post

Get some hollow spoke sport technology wheels, the best looking wheel on a C4S IMO, of course I'm biased. Those bsa wheels look ok, not as heavy as they look, spacers will be needed to clear you big red brakes, that's another 400$ with bolts from porsche.

POST 11Original post

Two questions: 1) Forgive my ignorance, but what is "staggered"? 2) Would these wheels fit my C4, w/o spacers? I already have 18" on it. Curious... Thanks.

POST 12Original post

1) Staggered = Two different size wheels, front and back, like 8" front & 10" back. 2) What "offset" do you currently have on your car? Example: Let's say you currently have 10" wide rear wheels with a 52 mm offset. If the "new" wheels you want are 10" wide but have a 40 MM offset, there will be 12 mm more wheel toward the outside of the car. That may be enough to make the rim protrude past the fender, which would make the wheel and tire stick out beyond the fender. There are a couple of pics that illustrate this (see posts #6 & #37) in the following thread. Post #19 has pics of the same wheel but not oversized tires. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/256724-upgraded-to-19-s-thanks-tim-question-though.html I am not familiar enough with the wide body P-cars to be able to give you a definitive answer on whether or not these wheels will fit on your car correctly. Check out the link below. You can calculate the dynamics of going from a 10" wheel to an 11" wheel with a different offset. http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

POST 13Original post

Wow, gota911, thanks! I got the bling budget for this year from my boss(wife) and it will probably allow for new rims, front bumper and side skirts so this information is invaluable to me!

POST 14Original post

Here is a set for the 996 C2/C4 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-Po...46641874QQrdZ1

POST 15Original post

SANDOVAL - I, too, saw those a few days ago. However, the 10" rear wheels have a 40 mm offset. My current wheels are 10" with 65mm offset. 25 mm differential is a LOT. I really like the look of those wheels, but like I said in an earlier post on this thread, the rears would stick out beyond the fenders of my C2. BTW, your wheels look awesome! What size and offset did you end up getting? Also, what color of calipers did you decide to go with, yellow or red?

POST 16Original post

Sandoval, that set for the 996 in that ebay link, what's the BSA model # for them? I went to the BSA website and wasn't sure. I ask because I guess I fall into that "more $$ than taste" club 'cause I want them in as close to full bling-bling chrome as the come. So, the ones on ebay are close but probably wouldn't do it for me. Also, from the pics of your car, do the lug nuts stick out from the rim center or are they recessed and I just can't tell because your wheels are black. For example, on my stock twist wheels, the lugs are recessed in a hole. It could be a deal breaker for me. And finally, thanks for the help & info!

POST 17Original post

Been following this thread. This whole P-Car/performance car thing is still new to me, and is an education in process. I understand the staggering but, pardon my ignorance, what exactly is the offset and how do you know what it "should be" for your car?

POST 18Original post

David - Does your car currently have OEM wheels? If so, look at the numbers on each side of the valve stem. One number is the width of the wheel in inches and the other number is the offset in millimeters. That is a good starting point as a reference of what the offset "should be." My OEM Turbo II wheels are 8" & 50mm on the front and 10" & 65mm on the rear. The attached link is to the Tire Rack site. It is their Tech section. About 1/3 of the way down the page are various topics listed. You can click on the topic and get a good amount of info for each. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/index.jsp Assuming you have read some of the topics from the link above, like bolt pattern and offset, you can use the link below to see how a change in the wheel width and offset changes the amount of wheel "moves" toward the outside of the wheel. Try this example on the link below: enter 10 & 65 on the "current" wheel and then enter 11 and 52 on the "new" wheel size. You will see that the inside clearance stays the same, buy the outside of the wheel would be extended 26mm farther out compared to the current wheel. Since 25.4 mm = 1 inch, the new wheel would extend 1" farther out (toward the street curb) than the current wheel. http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp I hope this has helps!

POST 19Original post

Tim Thanks for the info, and link. Will due my homework!

POST 20Original post

Joe... I saw these but it looks like you have a Narrow body car... let me keep looking you might want to ask the seller if he has Chrome Narrow body wheels in this style... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chrom...48791593QQrdZ1 Here you go... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-Po...48838688QQrdZ1

The second link is for widebody wheels as well. 11" rear with 45mm offset.
