Doubtful my CPO warranty alone would cover this so I'll eventually learn how to pull the headlight assembly to replace a bulb

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If I'm remembering common automotive failures like this I'm thinking it's a dead / dying blinker relay? Or is this the car's way of telling me a bulb is dead or something? Right turn signal is normal.

POST 2Original post

Usually that means one of the bulbs is out. If not it could be the relay.

POST 3Original post

You may need to turn faster. But I'm no mechanic.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'll let dealer do the deed this time around since I'm still under full factory warranty for a while longer. Doubtful my CPO warranty alone would cover this so I'll eventually learn how to pull the headlight assembly to replace a bulb Thanks very much for all the quick responses!

A little exploration goes a long way. I get a little enjoyment tinkering on my Porsche - Looking things up in the manual, peeling the trunk carpet back to reveal where the headlight adjustment sites and headlight release rod are located, etc. You can get a deeper appreciation for how wonderfully these cars are engineered by DIY'ing something as simple as changing a bulb. Try it!

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

once out of warranty then sure i'll DIY the simple stuff. dealer is conveniently located, i have the time, need excuse to survey the dealer's inventory anyhow. and besides, i also asked about a knocking sound while i was there, got a new turn signal bulb plus a new catalytic convertor as a bonus while i waited. total bill was $0.

POST 12Original post

lol. Yeah, as long as your dealer isn't like mine and will let the employees take the car on twenty-some miles of joyrides, and it's not inconvenient to drop off and they give you a loaner car, then you are correct sir.

POST 13Original post

My cars don't "do" dealers.............and nobody but me drives them.......ever.
