Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've read the post about the Eagle F1 and the RE750.....My cab has some Michelin's that seem very noisy at certain speeds. Is it possible to get performance and lower tire noise?

POST 2Original post

what about bridgestones s-02s or s-03s? I have not had experience per se, but have heard good things.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

how about Eagle F1 GS-D3......anyone

POST 5Original post

In general the F1 Gs-D3 have been quiet for me. If you do a search on these tires you will see I have made comments that on certain concrete surfaces they definitely produce a hum and/or road noise (but not all concrete surfaces) but are very quiet on most blacktop surfaces. The wear are these tires are such that I can't comment as the near the end of their life because I still have more than 75% of the tread on the rears after over 8k miles. In general, I think you will find that the 996 (especially the cab) have road noise that come into the cabin no matter what tire you use. For example, if you look under the front seats there is no sound proofing at all. It is just a fact of life that Porsches are not as quiet as say aLexus. Granted there are tires that are quieter than others but in general most high performance tires produce some road noise.

POST 7Original post

s02-a are quiet than pzero gialo that's for sure.... but those are the only ones I've had on the car...

POST 9Original post

quiet than the gialo that's for sure... but not by much...

POST 10Original post

There was a long thread just a week or so back, in which several users of the GS-D3 commented on these tires (including me). Don't wish to bore everyone by repeating all that here. Bottom line? The primary reason I bought them was for the combination of high performance (for street driving) and low road noise on the highway.
