Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

First off, check the springs and look for 2 colored dots about the size of a penny.

Came out pretty good except for little chunks of green plastic in the oil, even the shop could not figure it out since they did the last oil change...any ideas on this?

Would not have known this except that owner decided to have the oil changed probably to look good.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
17 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

First off, check the springs and look for 2 colored dots about the size of a penny. That is a dead give away. Report back and we will be able to tell you. FYI.....your pic didn't attach.
My son went to see this car today. It's a drivers car no garage queen here. Good news: Lighttronic, locking diff, active brake diff (traction control?) and sport seats.
The car is a late 99 build 6 speed nicks and stuff on body 68k miles interior good. What do you all think on a price or any thoughts,
Thanks in advance
Cant find some codes either they are 222,282,696 some I found were:
x71 Alum inst dial,
220 locking diff,
224 active brake diff
375 color coded seat backs
378 combination seat right
424 auto heat
448 colored crests
490 hifi
601 lightronics
983 leather seats
price 30 or less after PPI monday
Not totally correct...
The dots must be color coded green(light green) to indicate ROW suspension. You may also look on the sway bars for these if the dots are not visable on the springs. I believe you will see variations of white, brown, and green to show which suspension is there. At any rate, ROW suspension is worth a couple grand and should be added to the value being a factory item. You may see up to 3/4" drop with ROW. I know of an article regarding this and I'll try to locate it.
pieball...you read way to much into my posts. I didn't say if there is dots then RoW, if no dots then nothing. "Report back and we will be able to tell you" refers to decoding the dot colors for him.
Update PPI completed today.

Would not have known this except that owner decided to have the oil changed probably to look good. They would not have had any reason to drain the the oil on a regular PPI.
Car was driven by the shop owner and he said it felt very nice.
Oh, by the way the car has stock suspension.
If that is the stock suspension then the shocks are gone. As for the chunks of green plastic in the oil is not something I would feel comfortable with. One of those pieces clogs an injecter and say goodbye to the ENGINE! Let's just say, I have seen first hand what little bits of plastc clogging and injector do to an engine (not mine but another local PCA guy). Goes something like this, plastic clogs an injector, cylinder goes kaboom, engine goes bye-bye.
