Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

so change the seats to gt3 and get the custome brackets , and maybe find them here on rennlist ?
Leading evidence: 'Replace seats' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace seats' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am 6'6" and here are your options:
1. Sparco Shells dropped to the floor
2. Sport Seat w/o eletrcics <----Hard to find
3. Depending on your girth GT3 seats w/ brey Krause brackets dropped to the floor.
4. Or...the custom bracket to allow the seat further back.
I tried them all. Literally and still had issues with my helmet on. If the car did not have a sunroof, I would have been perfect.
Good luck.
cheers,
Chad A.
I have been going through all of the options as well. Here is where I am at currently.
Recaro pole position shell being fitted to a custom mount to get as low and as far back as possible. I am 260 lbs so I cannot fit in the GT3 seats or even the leather pole position.
The other option I may add later is a steering wheel extention to get in a better driving position. I will let you know how it all works out.
In the Miata world, a common seat modification involves opening up the bottom of the seat and trimming 2" or so off of the buttom (get it?) of the seat cushion. When the seat is empty it looks perfectly normal because the top of the foam is still the factory shape, but when you sit in it the foam can take up the empty space and give you a couple extra inches of room.
I did this to my 2nd-gen Miata with leather seats (the leather seats have thicker padding on the bottom than the cloth ones) and I was quite happy with the result.
I haven't gone to open up the bottom of my sport seats to see what's inside there, but I imagine you can perform the same kind of surgery. It won't give you a huge amount of room but might provide an inch or two.

Any custom metal fabricator should be able to do it.
As far as girth, you are a rail! I would consider the GT3 seats with BK brackets, bolted to the floorpan. I am sure you would have great room then. good luck.
