so the cars do run a bit of camber and they will wear tires on the inside faster than the rest of the tread but you dont want chords on the inside and 4mm of tread in the middle.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, I am trying to help out my father with this issue. I am a M3 driver so I don't have a lot of Porsche knowledge. He has about 12k miles on the car and the inner edges of the rear tires are worn down extremely low. The middle and outer edge of the tires are okay. I am very familiar with camber and how it impacts the handling of a car (I have adjustable camber plates on my M3 for when I do track events), however, does the C4S come with that much negative rear camber dialed in from the factory? Basically, I am trying to find out if this is normal or if the car needs a better alignment. Thanks,

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone? I tried using the search function, but did not find an answer. I would appreciate anyone letting me know if this is normal or not. Thanks, Adam

POST 3Original post

If I remember off hand its -1.20 ... so the cars do run a bit of camber and they will wear tires on the inside faster than the rest of the tread but you dont want chords on the inside and 4mm of tread in the middle. I've seen cars with 15k miles which have tires so worn on the inside egde you wouldnt feel safe driving above 10 mph. Unless the tires look unsafe I would recommend replacement and an alignment during your 15,000 mile service.

POST 5Original post

Kevin H, nice, just did my x73 yesterday, -.5 front and -1.5 rear, at the track I dial in -1.5 front and-2 rear.Put in the X73 three months ago, mine was all over the road the last few weeks, the car settled about another 1/4" and threw the alignment off a bit. Now, it's awsome once again!
