I used the same method, but I used a ATV jack under the engine and floor jack on the transmission end.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any creative ideas for holding the drivetrain on a jack or other lifting device to raise it into the vehicle? I have a hoist so most of the moving will be from lowering the car but it'd be nice to be able to maneuver the motor and trans around the shop as an assembly and raise it 12-18" into the car when the time comes. Porsche, of course, has their own bracket but that's a little pricey for a one time job.
