The metal "clam/plate" section that moves to accommodate the roof when it lowers - whatever that section is called?? Well anyway - that section, it moves into it's "out of the way" position without any problems, however as it's coming back down onto the car - as it's getting pulled flush into it's final resting position, it "judders" and isn't smooth in operation. Anyone got any pointers as to what is likely to be causing this and anything I can do to resolve it? Thanks for any replies!

Look at the seal around the outside edge. If it is out of alignment it can rub during the last part of the close cycle. If it judders while it is still up I got nothing.

Check the linkage of the clam. Something may have loosened off slightly and needs nipping up again. I had a split type washer come off mine which prevented the roof from operating correctly. It was an easy job to replace once I located the fault,..
