Robin Sun had made a great suggestion to use zip ties to keep them open and then cut the ties when you wan them to close.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I got my AOS from Sunset today, $121.54 + shipping. Ordered the parts yesterday from Phil and got them this afternoon! Pretty darn fast. I'm going to tackle the job this weekend. I'll let everyone know how it goes. Thanks to all who have gone before and done the great write ups.

POST 2Original post

I did that a few weeks ago... Just take your time...a lot easier to do then i thought at first. Good luck Robert

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2000 C4 Cab Tip. I was planning to drop the engine and transmission and do a major freshening of things, including an RMS/ IMS upgrade, but I just signed on with a new startup company, so that unfortunately will have to wait. I am going to replace the AOS and a couple of minor things now and then hit the bigger projects this summer.

POST 6Original post

Did you buy new clamps, they are so worth it. They come with these blue clips that hold them open during installation. They make the job 20 minutes instead of 180 minutes.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I didn't get new clamps since I was planning to use a standard hose clamp. I didn't realize that they came with the clips that hold them open. Robin Sun had made a great suggestion to use zip ties to keep them open and then cut the ties when you wan them to close. The clips sound easier- I may run and get a couple today. Thanks for the suggestion.
