Hello, I am looking for a 996 (mk.2) and I have an option code question. Does option code: M219 Differential = "open" differential Where as M220 would be the 40% LSD. Coming from the 944 T, an LSD has been a necessity for any autocross experience. If an open diff is all I can find (in my price/mileage/color desired formula)... is that as necessarily "bad" in a car with a more pronounced rear weight bias? Thanks!

Having just upgraded my Option 220 LSD, I can say that I noticed the difference it makes before I had driven 500 yards. I will now ensure I upgrade the diff in my 951 when it comes out of storage.

how is your 40:60 LSD in tight hairpin 2nd gear corners? did you find you had to change your driving style or just use more trail braking to rotate your car and launch out? I haven't done this mod yet but am considering an LSD from KAAZ... I know Guard is good but KAAZ is another option...
