Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here is what a leaking coolant reservoir looks like. Now I know why I couldn't find the leak while it was in the car. This was on the back side about half way up and it only leaked while under pressure. While inspecting the entire tank I found a number of cracks that make it appear as if it was about to explode. Anyone who has replaced this knows how much fun I had yesterday.

POST 2Original post

It isn't the most fun to be had, but after the job is over with a new white tank installed...it feels great. Nice going. How many skinned knuckles did you acquire during the replacement of your coolant tank?

POST 3Original post

JR, Good save. Changing this item yourself is a major accomplishment. Perhaps not rocket science, but very tough working conditions. relinuca

This tank looks much nicer. I look like I've been playing in The Briar Patch.
