Nah, just snapped the little plastic tab on the cover itself already checked thise sites and worst case I have to replace it will be about $35.00 not too bad and the gps antenna will be out of sight under there.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

can anyone point me to instructions on installing GPS antenna is OEM location under the LED alarm cover. Instructions on how to remove it without breaking cover or tab is what I am looking for. THX

POST 2Original post

Can't help with the GPS instructions but as I recall you just squeeze the sides (the end closest to the seats) of the LED cover to release the tabs that hold it in place.

POST 3Original post

There is a PCM2 DIY with pics on Renntech.org... I did mine complete retrofit in a very lazy 3 hours. /m

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Perfect exactly what I needed Thanks

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good news is got it off pretty easy. Bad news broke one of the "needle thin" tabs that hold it in place. LOL.

POST 6Original post

Yep, that happens to plastic trim pieces. Look on the bright side, you can probably find the part no from a PET catalog and order a new piece from Suncoastparts.com or getporscheparts.com. Now, if the plastic was part of the dashboard, then that's a bigger expense... /m

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nah, just snapped the little plastic tab on the cover itself already checked thise sites and worst case I have to replace it will be about $35.00 not too bad and the gps antenna will be out of sight under there. Win some lose some. In the bigger scheme not a big deal.

POST 8Original post

the plastic tab from the dashboard part of my car just broke, the car stayed in the sun today and I think the expansion put pressure on it or something, does anyone know how to remove the tab located on the dashboard part ?
