Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

...or maybe I have done this before (not on a 996). I had a good starting point and did one adjustment this weekend when I installed the PSS9's. Tonight after work I put the 996 on the scales and this is what I got. Pretty F'n happy that I didn't have to mess with it, its fine for a street car. Now I will check camber caster and toe and install the freshly painted mirrors and tail and hopefully off to the track this weekend. I will be sure to take some photos and a report. I love this car more and more. Scott

POST 2Original post

Was that weighted for driver? If not you are too far off in the front

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nope did it solo. Also about a 1/8 a tank of gas so that will help. I know its a little light up front but its not bad...I might mess with it a little tomorrow.

POST 4Original post

I debating whether or not to pickup an x74 kit, or a pssx kit. The ability to corner balance the car is pretty much the only reason I'm leaning toward the Bilsteins. Though, I wonder if the x74 would need much adjustment (if it were possible).

POST 5Original post

sorry I am confused and btw the front to rear ratio looks fine to me. But what I meant is did you put 150-200 lbs in the drivers seat to replicate YOU... if not it will be off be a significant amount when you drive it solo...

Nice to see you are right into it with your new Porsche. Thanks for keeping the rest of us posted.

POST 7Original post

I would also like to say - mann, hot looking car I dont think I got my rears as close as that. on the torsion bar set up the adjustments are pretty crude unless you spend more money - and more money

POST 8Original post

I'd love to see a comparison with a 997 on the scales.

POST 9Original post

Cardsrule, Did you take anything out to get to 3066 or is that stock weight? ivangene, What weight do you get for the red 911?

2716 with 10 gallons of fuel, the spare tire and all the AC still in place plan to drop a little weight with rear bumper things and maybe AC partial delete, removed spare already

POST 13Original post

Looks like the F/R distribution is about 35/65, is that typical of our cars? I thought the stock weight distribution is closer to 40/60?

POST 14Original post

wow.. neet.. I would like to see a 928 on that scale

POST 15Original post

996 aren't as porky as they look. 3066 is not that far away from 2716. Was just looking at my 1972 total weight = 2240 stock interior + 3/4 cage, no door bars. Wonder what stock SC would be? Looks like~ +300lbs for each model change.
