Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Hi Everyone!
This is my first post on this forum. I recently (Monday evening) purchased a new-to-me 2002 911 Carrera 4 Cab w/52k miles. I have been searching for a Porsche for the past few months. With the warm weather out, I decided to buckle down and get real serious in my search. Over the past 2 weeks I've met with several local (less than 75 miles) sellers in the tri-state area and narrowed it down to 2 cars. Needless to say, I was very happy with this one as soon as I saw it. Please see below for some pictures. Some of the beginning pictures are of the 911 when I first went to see it, followed by some pictures in my driveway. I have not yet taken nicer pictures yet; these are just some quick iPhone snaps.
Enjoy!
PS - where is the DIY section for the 996's? I'd like to see what can be done for fun. Thanks!
Very nice and thanks for the pics of your new Porsche...on the first post yet! You can try the search button as well for various mods people have done, welcome.
Suggestion for first mod:
Replace the CD holder with an upper shelf. Easy to do and less than $50 (IIRC).
(Yes, those are useless CD holders, not a CD changer - that took me two weeks to figure out)
That is the first thing I thought of! It has an iPod interface hooked up and I will never use the CD changer, let alone the holder. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

You want the upper shelf. The installation couldn't be easier. Press the buttons to pop out all of the CD trays. Grab the trays with two hands and yank straight out. The new shelf just clicks in.
Congrat's on the car! I recently purchased an '02 C4 Cab as well and am about to do the whole bluetooth conversion thru cartronics. Bluetooth for the cell phone as well as bluetooth for the music (both thru my iphone) and the convertible top override as well. I'll let you know how it goes in case you're interested in going down the same path.
