Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Some people recommend upgrading certain parts to GT3 parts....other components to aftermarket , etc.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I used to wrench my own race bike...and motorcycle suspension was a LOT more straight forward. I understand my engine, I know all about brakes...but performance automotive suspension is still like a mysterious black art form to me....
Any recommended books to help me learn?
I see all the performance suspension parts, but I have no clue what to get and what changes they make (with the exception of the basic spring/shock system) for example...drop links, rear link kit, camber plates, sway bars, adjustable lower control arms, etc.)
I understand the principle of how each of these work...but not how they all combine.
Some people recommend upgrading certain parts to GT3 parts....other components to aftermarket , etc.
Just looking for some knowledge. I'm planning on putting in the X73...but all these other parts, I need some advise/guidance...or some sources of info so I can learn more myself.
thanks
sean
The knee bone is connected to the leg bone... the leg bone is connected to the control arm...
The X73 is a very well matched package. Not much else to know if you do that.
The two biggest things to know, IMHO, are: the stock suspension is limited in its wheel alignment adjustment range (hence the need for things like the cup or adjustable lower control arms); and the stock suspension has rubber bushings at all the connection points to make the ride "comfortable" - however, these rubber bushings can deform under heavy loading (either cornering or braking) and
temporarily change your wheel alignment
(hence the need for after market drop links, rear toe links, camber plates, etc.)
If you want a place to start leaning, try wikipedia or even just a google search.

totally reasonable request....but I'm not looking for a "oh, you're doing this? Buy that" response...I want to learn why these different options work, how they work in relation to each other so I can decide how I want the car setup now and in the future.
Currently, it's a DD with about 8-10 track events a year (DE or autocross...no competition) but this is the last year of that. Come winter, possibly sooner, I'll have a new DD and slowly but surely, I will convert her to 100% track use.

well, i suggest hanging out on the race and or GT3 forums and seing what the serious guys are doing and why. They may have some good books on theory and what not too...
just a thought
