Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, didn't have the recommended digital gauge most seem to be using. But you guys think I've got a basic idea if old AOS is still working ok for now? till I get around to changing it out as regular maintenance. Have no sign of a bad aos, no oil smoke on start up or any time. Seems to not use any oil at all so far. Idles smooth and steady and revs smooth no misses to redline. But do have what seems like oily hose clamps where the manifolds hook up to the plenums....? No oil in the plenum when the Throttle body was out getting cleaned. Drilled and tapped my oil cap for a 1/4 flare fitting that fits my hoses, put an oring at its base and it screwed it tight. Capped it off with an oring cap, no Schrader valve needed imo. Have a psi gauge thats suppose to be accurate to 1/10 a pt. reading -0.2 psi. Also checked it with a small vacuum gauge that read -0.19 -0.20 psi
