Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I guess I'll get the cheaper OBDlink LX for my EV then and continue using my existing ELM adapter for the Porsche.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've been away for a while and was wondering if the OBD dongles apps have developed enough to clear error codes and access most systems in the car at this point? I already own an ELM 327 adapter which works with Torque, but it can not access all the information Durametric can. I'm contemplating getting the OBDlink MX+ for my other car and thought it would be nice if it will get me closeer to Durametric levels of data than my old adapter. Is this possible now?

POST 2Original post

Durametric is king. Why not just buy it? Foxwell has come a long way. I have a Foxwell scanner with the specific software for my Mini Cooper. I haven't tried it but they also have specific software for Porsche. I have a simple OBDII scanner that reads the codes and I can clear them on the run. Otherwise I have Durametric and it really works for everything.

POST 3Original post

OBDlink MX + is great for reading parameters from the car and monitoring in real time on a dash mounted smartphone, and even overlaying engine performance info on a map of the route driven, but Durametric is the best for accessing/clearing everything.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys. I guess I'll get the cheaper OBDlink LX for my EV then and continue using my existing ELM adapter for the Porsche. No need to spend the extra if it doesn't add value. I'll keep dreaming about the Durametric.

POST 5Original post

Anyone know what codes, if any, the MX+ can clear?
