Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well after figuring out how to remove the sunroof panel and fix the interior cloth. I reinstalled it, and did the sunroof reset procedure. Now the sunroof won't close all the way. I've tried to assist with pulling it, and it just stops about 3 inches short. I tried closing it manually with tool but the allen head in motor is stripped (I didn't do that). So does someone have an idea if it is the motor or a track issue? I don't have a garage so this will need to be done ASAP!!!! YIKES!!!!

POST 2Original post

No idea, but the memory for the sunroof is stored in the sunroof motor. Maybe drop the motor, get the sunroof closed and then reinstall the motor since it already thinks it is at the closed position.

POST 3Original post

Ive very recently had a similar issue. Removing the motor was the only way i could unbind the drive and get the manual crank to be able to turn. Ive since done a reset and its tentitivly all working but needs lubing. Thats the next step for me and not sure how to get lube into drive belt/cable.

POST 4Original post

Did you follow a guide for the fabric? I’ve had my car a little over a year and while it got an oil change it sat outside of the shop and rained. That was on Wednesday. Hopped in the car today and saw this. Looks like the fabric separated so wondering if my seals are bad and water got in.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
