Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Beyond happy... I can't stop smiling!
Surprises...? In better shape than I expected, actually. Interior is perfect from what I can see... exterior is hard to tell, since it is POURING here today.
And I need to get some work done for a class later tonight, so don't have time to drool over the car today.. ARGH.
Congrats. Good thing you didn't have the factory lower splitter on there.
Also you need one of these to compliment your ride as well:
Don't forget to get that "Exclusive" badge.
Some leave off the lower splitter if they have steep driveways and such as it scrapes easily, especially if you plan on lowering the car.
I've scraped mine numerous times and surprised it hasn't fallen off yet.
Congrats! Few things are as exciting as seeing your long distance purchase roll off the carrier and to be pleasantly surprised that things appear even better than expected.
Enjoy it!
Congrats, I know it's been an ordeal.
Our's has been ripped off 3 times over the years and it's been maybe 5 years since we lost the last one. I finally bought a new one about a year ago, but still haven't put it back on.
Until you start approaching triple digits it doesn't seem to make any difference from what I call, but up in that realm the front end will get a bit light without it.
I'm late to the party, but that was my first thought. If ever there was a body color that needed clear or tinted side markers, this is it!
There are threads about it around here and I think Pelican has a tutorial. As I recall it's pretty simple as they just pop out, you unplug then, plug the new one in, and pop it into place.
The OEM "clear" for the 996 have a slight tint to them unlike the newer models that have a "crystal" look.
I vote OEM clear on the gold. Either way, gold and orange is a lot like purple and brown, no one would really pick those color combinations as a choice.
I had smoked on my C4S, and they looked great. On your new 996, the orange ones actually look good!
If I were changing them on that car, I would go for clear.
I've still got pumpkins on the 997. I don't mind the way that they look with the brown paint, so I'll go with clear if I change them.
Here are some good pics showing the OEM "clear" (my reference to the crystal clear was about the newer 911s like the 991, not something available OEM for the 996):

Happens to show the bumper plugs too.
It's a great feeling isn't it! Congrats on a stunning Porsche! If you get any down time between classes or class and work, check out our

Hi Doc, people tell me they hate me all the time... I'm used to it. Although they always tell me they hate me, and I didn't have a Porsche before... so I wonder why they hate me..
I'll be getting the smoke side markers ASAP. Also need a good Porsche keychain
The car looks great, congrats !!!!!!
For the life of me, I don't know why everyone goes bonkers over the pumpkins.
But, it truly is a fact of life that if you don't swap 'em out you will be forever ridiculed, shunned, and have to live your life as a marginalized outcast lurking from beyond the fringes of civilization.
Go for the OEM. ECS put a link in their reply and they are great guys to work with (though shipping charges are ugly). A little closer to you geographically is Suncoast. About the same prices (and shipping) as ECS and an equally good bunch to deal with. Pelican is also a good resource and great bunch of people, but I did their prices are typically higher than ECS and Suncoast (though I have found a few things cheaper from them and their shipping is generally cheaper).
Congrats!
When I was in law school I had a '65 Bug...wish I still had it!
When $$ allows, upgrade your suspension (and lose the SUV ride height). It transforms the car.
