Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

24 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Bought this '02 996 about a month & a half ago to use as a track car. It's finally track prep'ed (but still street legal). Thought you guys might like to see it. Cheers.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the compliments. The mods include: IMS single row Pro bearing (in addition to numerous other non track-related engine items such as ignition coils, lifters, etc.) deep sump kit & baffle GMG roll bar Corbeau seats 6-point harness - both seats rear wing, front spoiler Lowering springs struts drop links rear toe links f&r sway bars strut brace Hawk ceramic pads compromise street/track alignment Fister Stage III (made from GHL cans.at least it will sound fast. LOL) extra wheels w/R888's Tons of other maintenance/upgrade items just to make the car 100% and reliable. I want to give a tip of the hat to Steinel's Autowerks in Twinsburg, OH. They did all the upgrades, maintenance and conversion and, as always, did an absolutely fantastic job. I've never found a shop that is more conscientious and pays more attention to detail. Cheers Dave

POST 9Original post

Now do the motor mounts...they're hangin' a little low (your tailpipes that is...)

POST 10Original post

That paint is too pretty for a track car. That wing is too low for a track car. J/K. Congrats. Based on your other cars in the stable, this one truly seems like a "beater ".

POST 11Original post

Very nice.......you will thank that deep sump. BTW what are hand controls for? Ever go to Putnam?

POST 13Original post

Nice build. I agree, get some solid mounts in there.

POST 14Original post

I see all kinds of little rice burners with tow hooks, although haven't seen a sticker. Thinking about putting a bright anodized one on the car and one on the jeep. =)

POST 16Original post

The taco wing is my favorite, but I like yours a lot too. Who's is it?

POST 17Original post

Very cool. And you'll be doing other stuff as you go!! what size 888s are you running?

I'm a bi-lateral above knee amputee as a result of an accident in my Formula Ford at an SCCA National race at Mid-Ohio quite a number of years ago.

Nice. Thanks. I've seen it on cabs (like on their website) and didn't like it. Looks real nice on your coupe!

POST 22Original post

Nice car! Very nice stable! BTW, I was wondering where the tow hook was, thanks for the sticker.

POST 23Original post

That's is awesome. I have been trying to acquire a track/street GT3 project car but the insurance company selling it is run by fools.
