I bought a very nice used 2004 911 cabrio and wanted to keep it looking as fresh as possible and also did not want to deal with sweaty skin sticking to leather in the summer...

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is there a source for good quality protective seat covers for 996 front seats?

POST 2Original post

Are looking for tight fitting seat covers or one for a trip to the shop/mechanic? I recently got one specifically for a seat cover to protect the seat because the car was at the mechanics shop. Durable and washable. Got it off Amazon. Amazon Amazon

POST 3Original post

Depends what you want/need. The best car seat covers that I've ever seen/owned are custom fit Wet Okole neoprene seat covers. See: https://www.wetokole.com/ Had a set in one of my FJ Cruisers and plan to buy a set for my MR after replacing a worn driver's side seat cover. They are not cheap put they'll protect the seat from pretty much any type of wear/damage. However, they do show wear over time but that just proves they are doing their job

There's actually a Porsche version specifically for service. They're NLA but I found a NOS one on Ebay for $35.00

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They would be for everyday driving. Ill check Wet Okole. Thanks.

POST 6Original post

Disclaimer: I have never used this company for seat covers, but I am very happy with my car cover and my custom windshield sun blockers. https://www.covercraft.com Covercraft makes custom everything made to fit pretty much any vehicle.

POST 7Original post

I've got CoverCraft WeatherShield covers for my BMW, MR2 and 911. Never purchased any seat covers from them before but it looks like they are made of the same cloth material (w/some variations) as they use in their car covers. FWIW, I think the Okole seat covers would be more durable but if you like the feel of cloth vs neoprene the CoverCraft seat covers should be fine.

POST 8Original post

Yeah I think the basic CC covers are the same cloth material but their seat cover page has tons of options including leatherette, real leather, alcantara, VELOUR (get out of here..), and neoprene actually. So I figured they'd be a good bet based on volume of business.

POST 9Original post

Quotes source post: 16976993

\\ Didn't notice those other options (will look again) but I did notice that CoverCrafts cloth covers cost more than Okole's neoprene. CoverCraft car covers are pricey but I've found that they are worth the extra $ based on the quality of the materials, fit and customer service. Wonder if the same can be said for their seat covers in terms of materials/fit. CS no doubt would be just as good.

POST 10Original post

I bought a set of black authentic sheepskin covers cut specificially for 911. they fit really well and are very comfortable year round.. easy to take off/on as well. I bought a very nice used 2004 911 cabrio and wanted to keep it looking as fresh as possible and also did not want to deal with sweaty skin sticking to leather in the summer... it's a great fit and looks good too.. very high quality sheep skin and can be in whatever color you want.. i did the black as it matched my car, but the seller can do whatever color you want. title of the ad on ebay is " LUXURIOUS Australian Sheepskin Semi custom Porsche Seat Cover A Pair" I dig em.

POST 11Original post

Ive used cover craft in all my trucks and a couple cars. Pretty happy with them. As others have said the are a fair penny.

POST 12Original post

What's the point of putting a seat cover on a good seat? Are you protecting it for the next owner? Do you cover your couch with plastic too? Enjoy the seats as they were meant to be.
