I�m having issues with one of my headlights. I noticed the blinker was t working so I replaced the bulb. In doing so, I noticed the sheathing on the wiring has dry rotted. 1) is there a specialist that can rewire? 2) or is there an aftermarket upgrade (led or something) that will fit the 03 996?

I'm guessing you have the litronics headlights. Those are known to develop brittle wiring insulation that flakes off. It has been suggested that you can cut the wires, put heat shrink insulation over the wires, solder back together and fix the insulation. I just applied this stuff. It's rated at higher voltage and works great. It's available in colors, but if you use white you can then color it yourself to match the wires. GLWS.
