Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've been looking a while for a seal grey hardtop on CL. Finally found one at a reasonable price. Since my 996 has recently become my daily driver and it rains a lot, I went with it.

POST 3Original post

looks great P.S. I have an extra cloth cover and stand for sale in case you're looking

Not to hijack the thread, but I may be interested. Sent you a PM. Babylon.....Nice hardtop !

POST 5Original post

I remember years ago my dealer stuffing these in the rafters because none of the owners wanted theirs. I always liked the look.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the comments. Kromdom, thanks for the offer but I installed a hoist in the garage. It's a two man job without it! Also, another PCA member here has a cover, so I'm set. Porcar, for sure. I normally wouldn't go this route, but since I may be parking it exposed to the elements for a while, I figured a hardtop would be better. I can always take the top off (about a 5 minute exercise) as needed. It is a different look, for sure.

POST 7Original post

Gees I thought I was looking at my cab.. Same color and 18 inch wheels. I too have the hand crank hoist on the wall extending up along the ceiling. The trick being to line the car up directly underneath the hoist and then it's only a one man 5 minute job, on and off. Mine will come off June until whenever.

POST 8Original post

You inspired me to put my top back on today... then I took it off. Then I put it back on.

POST 9Original post

I've had mine on now for almost two years straight! Between the new baby, the move to a temporary apartment, and the move to our new home I just never got around to taking it off. I'm going to take it off after we come back from our quick Spring vacation. But I am worried that the top may have some creases that take some time to come out. Hopefully none of them will be damaging enough to tear the fabric. Anyone have experiences with long-term stowage? To the OP - looks good!
