Also had air noise/leak at the front of the window - so seemed like it needed to be adjusted just a bit forward.
Leading evidence: 'Adjust just a bit forward' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust height, do i only have' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

And to adjust the height, do I only have to adjust the one torx head bolt?

I see lots of threads here and on other forums stating you can adjust the windows through the 4plugs under the door.

And with any job, disconnect the battery negative lead before doing the door panel removal,

And if you change the regulator, dont forget to remove the spacer on the mechanism that is specific to the Boxster, otherwise youll go crazy wondering why the window wont go down all the way...
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I fixed it by removing the door panel, loosening the clamps that hold the window in place, and sliding the entire window forward a few mms.
My passenger side window starts letting in wind at high speeds (80+) and its pretty noisy. I can see that it doesnt come up as high towards the roof as my drivers side window. Also, it fails the paper test: I can easily pull a sheet of paper out with the window up.
I see lots of threads here and on other forums stating you can adjust the windows through the 4plugs under the door. But none of them actually state HOW to do it.
I popped the plugs out to see what Im dealing with, but want to be certain before I proceed. Heres the back two:
Heres the front two:
To adjust the tumble home/rake do I loosen both the nuts in the front and back, and then slide them towards the exterior of the door and re-tighten them?
And to adjust the height, do I only have to adjust the one torx head bolt? How many turns will yield a couple millimeters of window height?
I would appreciate insight from anyone who has done this successfully. Thanks!
It is difficult to put into words...the two nuts are the ones that hold the bottom of the window regulator in place. Loosen them and move them towards the outside of the door to increase the pressure of the window against the seal. Opposite of what you would think but think along the terms of cantilever, moving the bottom of the window regulator outwards increasing the top of the window inwards, and moving the bottom of the window regulator inwards decreases the pressure of the window glass against the seal.
I don't know what the torx bit does.

Turn the torx heads for height. Chances are good you don’t need to mess with rake. If the window gets lower, turn it the other way
@DBJoe996
thanks. I understand what you mean and thought thats how it works.
@vitaminC
thanks for the link to the Pelican article. It says to turn counterclockwise to raise the height. Ill try that first before messing with the rake. It says there should be torx bolts to adjust at front and rear. I only see the rear one in my photo. I guess I have to look a little deeper?
Yeah, the front one is harder to see. A mirror and flashlight help. IIRC, mine werent exactly the size listed in the Pelican article, but it was close. If you get really desperate, you can pull off the door panel, water seal, and speaker. Then its really easy to access everything. But if you do that, you might as well change the regulator, too, because if it hasnt failed yet it will!
Front adjuster.
@vitaminC
That photo is very helpful, I can see it's deeper into the door and at a bit of angle. I'm going to try to avoid taking the door panel off, as the window is operating fine right now. Thanks!
Tagging, as My drivers window does not go up straight, and touches the rear window at the very top when closed.
I purchased a regulator, but will try and tweak the adjusters a little first.

@ManM
Thanks for the shop manual details! You actually reminded me I have the Bentley manual, but I forgot to check it. That thing is intimidating for a novice like me.
@Gregs04.5
Hope this helps. Keep us posted on how it goes and I'll do the same. I have to get some torx sockets delivered in the right size before I can try it.
I have this same issue. The top rear edge of the drivers side window very slightly touches the rear quarter window when fully up. Sometimes causes it to bind when trying to open my door. Also get a slight wind noise at freeway speed. I need to tilt the window forward a mm or two. Im not quite sure I understand which nut/screw I should be looking at to make the adjustment. Appreciate any help.
If its rubbing in back, you
might
be able to fix it be dropping the back a bit to level it out. But in my case, I got rubbing like that because I didnt have the window properly aligned when I reinstalled the window after replacing the regulator. I fixed it by removing the door panel, loosening the clamps that hold the window in place, and sliding the entire window forward a few mms. Its not hard, just go slow and be patient, because it takes time to get it just right.
And if you change the regulator, dont forget to remove the spacer on the mechanism that is specific to the Boxster, otherwise youll go crazy wondering why the window wont go down all the way... If its there of course, I only had that issue on the passenger side.
That's the ticket right there! I found it helpful to mark the window clamp positions and regulator positions before removing the regulator. Aligning the window glass is more an art than anything else. Check the all around alignment and operation of the window glass before reinstalling the door panel. And with any job, disconnect the battery negative lead before doing the door panel removal,
AND
connect the door panel air bag before you reconnect the battery to test the window.
I think I actually need to do the opposite and raise the rear of the drivers window. The rear edge is not 100% parallel with the quarter window. The gap is bigger at the bottom of the window than it is at the top. Were only talking a couple mm, but enough that it will sometimes rub. Im hoping raising the rear of the window will tilt the whole thing slightly forward, eliminating the contact with the quarter window. Hope this makes sense.
I had a similar problem - passenger door would catch on the rear quarter window just slightly as it dropped when opening. Also had air noise/leak at the front of the window - so seemed like it needed to be adjusted just a bit forward. That fore/aft adjustment is done behind the door card.

You can see in these pics the drivers side is closer to the rear window than the pass side. I looked inside the door from underneath but only the in/out bolts are accessible. Looks like Im gonna have to pull the door card off to access the fore/aft. PITA.
