I was originally set on Tourmaline Green (like the 964 RS from Luft 2019), but that colour is actually incredibly rare and getting a code for it has been painful and basically impossible.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Greetings folks, I hope you are all well during these times. I need some help regarding choosing a colour - I'm stuck between Ocean Jade Metallic and Wimbledon Green Metallic. I have a 996.1 C2 project car that has been in progress for quite a while. However, during this time, the car had to sit outside for over a year. In addition, I'm turning the car into an Aero car, and I wanted to do a full colour change. I was originally set on Tourmaline Green (like the 964 RS from Luft 2019), but that colour is actually incredibly rare and getting a code for it has been painful and basically impossible. So, I had to settle on similar colours. I had looked into other greens in this range (Tropic Green from VW, Calypso Green from Ford, Blue Raspberry from Honda), but I'm trying to stay with a Porsche colour. As per my avatar, I've been looking into Ocean Jade Metallic and Wimbledon Green Metallic. I'm looking for posts of the cars in different lighting - garage fluorescent lighting, cloudy outdoor day, nighttime, in the bright sunshine, etc. I'm just really trying to get a feel for the colours before I spend a bunch of money going for these colours. I haven't found anyone in the PCA locally that has either colour, so I have no basis for in-person comparison. Thank you in advance! -Matt

How's that lawsuit coming? Details and specifics are much appreciated.

POST 3Original post

I like the Jade metallic. Almost bought a Boxster in that color around 15 years ago. Kind of wish I had.

PCA has a site called Rennbow that has some pics in the library as a little appetizer for you before members post their pics. https://www.rennbow.org/colorwiki/OceanJadeMetallic https://www.rennbow.org/colorwiki/Wi...nGreenMetallic

Oh, I've checked out Rennbow, and that's actually where I found the colours. I just wanted a few more specific conditions/angles before making a final decision. I love your Dark Teal Metallic, though!

Awesome looking colour! Now I just need to get more Jade pictures - some pics make it look very faded or unsaturated in bright daylight...
