My BIG Gripe now; they washed and vacuumed and cleaned the interior, I thought that was nice, it was raining the previous 3 days and I put 400 miles on her this past weekend, so she was dirty on the outside (just brake dust, and dust, no major dirt or debris).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I took my car to the P-dealership (not my typical one) as they had loaners quicker than my go to dealer...its an actual Porsche dealer, also VW and Audi. They've been around for decades however where bought by an out of state bigger dealer chain about 2 years ago. Anyways they did what I asked and ordered parts for some other items they discovered; I'll be back in on the 28th to address those. They seem nice and somewhat knowledgeable. My BIG Gripe now; they washed and vacuumed and cleaned the interior, I thought that was nice, it was raining the previous 3 days and I put 400 miles on her this past weekend, so she was dirty on the outside (just brake dust, and dust, no major dirt or debris). I took the car and went home, stopped to get gas and under the florescent light I was horrified. Swirl marks ALLLLLL over, there where some areas I had marks on before, but now they are every where. It is like someone just put soap and started washing, or dropped their microfiber or something. Not sure what to do. I know calling the dealer should be the first thing, but I'm just at a loss, and upset. Has anyone had this happen to them?

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I should add, it was about 9 pm when I left the dealer

POST 3Original post

It's going to be hard to prove the marks weren't there before. One reason why I specifically tell the service mgr NOT to wash my car if I have to take it in for anything(rare). Chalk it up to a learning lesson and have your car polished. It can't hurt mentioning this to the service mgr. The worst he can say is no. But him having a complaint on it could lead to investigation and making sure it doesn't happen to the next guy. European dealers can be worse as some also use acidic based wheel cleaners improperly too.

POST 4Original post

Yes, also at a P dealer. My service records clearly indicate " DO NOT WASH" and after that was ignored I now also hand write "DO NOT WASH" on the drop off envelope as well. Makes sense that the folks pushing cars through a wash bay aren't going to exercise the same care as an owner might. You can try calling the dealer but in my experience they will most likely deny that they did anything wrong or did any damage to the car.
