Inside the relay there is only one coil and since it works properly for the left signal I question if the issue is the relay itself.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

'99 C2- Left turn signal flashes and clicks normally. When turning on right turn signal I only get a buzzing sound from the turn signal relay and the lights do not flash. I pulled the relay out, opened it and cleaned the contacts with no difference. Do you think this issue is with the relay or some other electrical issue? Inside the relay there is only one coil and since it works properly for the left signal I question if the issue is the relay itself. A new relay is inexpensive so I can certainly try that but would rather not just throw parts at the issue. If you don't believe the issue could be the relay, where would you start to diagnose this? Thanks! Brad

POST 2Original post

I would start with a new relay. At least that eliminates something and is easy to do. Do the emergency flashers work? On all four corners?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just checked and yes the emergency lights all work. I ordered a new relay. Will follow up after I get it installed.

POST 4Original post

Curious if the new relay fixed the issue? I'm having the same problem except on the left turn signal no issues with right.
