This is not a probability of success.

The only switch I think I have is integrated into the frunk lock/release mechanism that I had to replace when it failed shut (at kids birthday party, with the kids present inside).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm looking for the part number for this white microswitch. Mine is stuck out and making the hood light stay on. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

I dunno, I have a 99 and I dont think I have that on my car? The only switch I think I have is integrated into the frunk lock/release mechanism that I had to replace when it failed shut (at kids birthday party, with the kids present inside).

POST 3Original post

I don't think that is a microswitch, I believe it the "help I'm stuck in the frunk" emergency lid-popper solenoid which is only on 2003-up. The microswitch is in the latch assembly.

The microswitch that alerts you on the gauge cluster that the frunk is open is actually located inside the lock mechanism. It's part#9 in the diagram.

That is what I'm thinking it is too so I'm not going to be worried about it.

POST 6Original post

On my 2003 the white gadget is a solenoid that opens the truck lock, the little cable above it is the one that you pull to release the hood if the battery or solenoid dies.
