Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My 03 911 has more of an assisted feel to the brakes compared to my 99 what changed in the braking system?

POST 2Original post

Weird... the 02 I drove felt identical to my 99.

Hmmm that's odd, I believe I read somewhere that something in the braking system changed. I just don't remember what is different.

POST 4Original post

The older 996 cars had weak vacuum line seals at the bottom of the booster. if your cowl drains got clogged water would puddle under the booster and could get sucked into the engine causing engine problems. Porsche changed that design. Not sure if they also changed pressure ratio. This happened to Navy'sPorsche Quite a saga. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...ng-to-you.html https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...d-porsche.html

I actually preferred the 99's less assisted brake feel, it reminded me of the sc I used to own.
