Suggestion
Overall, great fit into the existing spoiler spot, and good use of existing holes.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Yes, !! I want this, where to get it ? But first I need a pic of how it looks deployed..
I've always thought the rear slope of the 996 looked awkward and is the reason I keep my spoiler deployed (turned off the automatic function), plus it keeps the engine bay cooler.
There's a link in that post, Skip
I'm really interested as well as I love that look! I suppose you'd want to pull a fuse or disable the mechanism that deploys the stock spoiler.

I guess its not supposed to be deployed.
Does anyone make a Singer style deployable spoiler?
I have that exact unit. Its a fixed wing. I like it a lot! My only gripe is that the rear-most part of the spoiler left a small gap. Not a deal breaker, but that could have been done a little better.
Overall, great fit into the existing spoiler spot, and good use of existing holes. No new holes to drill.
Sorry for the very non-glamorous garage shots. Its all I have so far with this spoiler.
That looks pretty good! I'd love to see some more photos when you have the chance. It sounds like the install was pretty straight forward. Was the overall fit and finish decent as well? I think we've all seen that sometimes aftermarket body parts may need some slight modifications to fit just right but at the price I think that's a great option I may consider.
The fit was good. No modifications needed there.
In terms of finish, it was unfinished. I had a body shop sand and paint it. That cost about as much as the spoiler itself, but Im happy with it.
If you have bodywork skills, you could save a lot of money there. I like turning wrenches and can get a lot done, but I know my limits. Paint and bodywork is NOT on my resum, LOL!
