Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a porsche mechanic on the San Francisco peninsula area? Ideally in the San Mateo area.
Please don't say the dealer.
thanks
Tony heyer in mountain view ...
I tried a german shop (german autokraft) in Belmont - ok for basic stuff - but did not get the same impression of "expertise" as heyer. Dons Autowerks in Campbell .... Just picked up a 99 and PO states this guy is great...spoke to him over the phone...he use to race Porsches ... Is a consultant for PCA and was very familiar with the service my vehicle...I live in SF and was thinking of finding a mechanic in the area but after speaking with Don it's totally worth the trip out to him for service.
I've been very pleased with Junipero Serra in Daly City. In business 30 years, this family owned shop has been great! The owner, Jimmy knows his stuff!
I've been going to the RennShop in Santa Clara. Marvin, the owner, cares more about the overall health of my car than I do lol!
Definitely recommended if it's not too far south.
+1 on Marvin. I had my wheel bearing and window regular replaced recently and received a 3 page inspection on my car. Crazy attention to detail.
yoda888 what type of work are you looking to get done?
edit: Carrera Motors might be a good shop to check out in San Mateo. I don't have any personal experience with them, however.
What do you need done? I take my 997s and GT3 to San Carlos German Motorworks for pretty much everything besides alignment and suspension setup. I live in San Mateo as well and I really like SGMW.
