Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Was trying to inspect a pair of seats that were reclined forward all the way so they could be removed from the car. I want to see what they look like in a regular position but didn't really want to remove my seat from my car to power them up. Is there a simpler way?

POST 2Original post

Can't you just pull up on the manual latch by the shoulder?

POST 5Original post

What year are your seats? You just need to hot wire the seat back motor directly.

POST 6Original post

Flip over your seat and look for a two pin connector (white I think) that has the following THICK wires connected. Motor side---------- Switch side Black<------------->Gray/Green Blue <-------------> Gray/Black Just unplug it and supply 12v directly onto the motor side (black wire and blue wire). The motor spinning direction depends on the polarity. Try both ways.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks so much

POST 8Original post

^What Ahsai said. Works well - just rig up jumper wires from a battery or battery charger. Ask me how I know about adjusting Porsche seats when all (and I mean every freakin' one of them) of the seat adjustment switches are inop. Hint: Look at the line in my signature where it says I have a 928.
