Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Unfortunately I don't have a video, and until I finally get my ride height/preload adjusted so that I can get it aligned, I'm not driving it yet.
Install 90 degree sensor adaptors and all is well now

more sound than Oem - yes, Since the cats have to be replaced, want better sound.

Suggestion
So if your mufflers are in good shape, and you just need cats and dont want to spend up for oem cats, you can consider aftermarket 200 cell cats which are cheaper than oem to run with your oem mufflers.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have the originals in working order but they are from my 99, will they work on the .2 cars??? After I get everything sorted Im selling my stock parts.
If your going for the cost anyway why not unleash some ponies with an up grade
you don’t have to go full fart can option
plus the system will be new and last a long time
So are the Soul Cats that much better? Just looking for a decent replacement for stock cats that are failing (frequent CEL codes even with the extenders) for a 2000 C2, 200 cell for better sound than stock but not wanting the volume produced by 100 cell cats. $1,000 is a big difference in cost. Esp when you add new O2 sensors and misc bits to the total cost..
The Soul Cats: Porsche 996 Carrera Sport Catalytic Converters (200 Cell) are $2,545.00
vs
Cargraphics: Cargraphic Sport 200 Cell Catalytic Converter Crossover Set Porsche 996 3.4L C2 | C4 98-05 are $1,484.09
These are not x-pipe, but stock configuration.
Anyone have experiecne with Cargraphics? My Indy suggested them.
I read about your Soul project and that got me looking at them. These would be for a friend's car so price is a concern. If it was for my Stage II, price might not be a consideration.
When I got my car the seller dropped the price by 2K since the check engine light was on. Turned out to be low efficiency cats, both banks. I installed 90 degree sensor adaptors and all is well now. I do plan on changing them once I know the car is a keeper hence the following research. Hope these links help.

What are you looking for?
Oem sound, more sound than Oem, more performance, 100 cell, 200 cell, long durability, lower price without looking for durability, weight savings?
How are you going to use your car?
Street only

Track only
Good news is there are many choices.

more sound than Oem - yes, Since the cats have to be replaced, want better sound. then maybe Fisters which would have originally been the first step, if not for bad cats
more performance - would always be nice
200 cell - 100 cell is too loud
long durability - at least equivalent to stock, which is claimed to be 60-100k miles
lower price without looking for durability, weight savings? - trade-off, Soul is probably too much money for this particular car (DD, stock everything), maybe in the $1200-1500 range (each)
How are you going to use your car? - street only, more cruiser that racer.
I have used Davico before
The last set was for a Toyota Sienna that ran fine for 6 months until it was totaled.
I haven’t done any stock cat replacements this year. (Surprisingly)
Mainly this year has been AC jobs and suspension jobs...with a misfire diagnostic consult recently
I’m not doing much automotive work this year due to health issues.
My son(23) has recently taken the torch and has been doing a lot more free automotive work lately.
Remember, a large portion of the sound comes from the mufflers or lack of muffling. Somewhere is an example of oem 996 mufflers with 200 cell cats on yutube.
Also recognize that the performance enhancement comes from less restrictive cats.
So if your mufflers are in good shape, and you just need cats and dont want to spend up for oem cats, you can consider aftermarket 200 cell cats which are cheaper than oem to run with your oem mufflers. 200 cell cats from a top company coupled with sensor extenders work beautifully. No new software needed. Just good oxy sensor extensions.
I bet someone on RL runs this configuration that may be able to post ideas or sounds.
I also bet that there are plenty of aftermarket cat recomendations that are not 200 cell that are affordable and a great swap for the oem cats.
But to Mike's point a couple of posts earlier, if you gotta replace the cats, you might as well go with performance which means 200 cell.
My vote is for FVD's 200 cell HJS cats. I have had mine on my car for over 15 years and they are still kicking butt. I dont plan on replacing them until they start rattling from the inside. Then i will get another set. But right now, they behave like they are still brand new.
Note: I have no clue about CA and other restrictive state requirements. I live in IL, so hopefully the guys from those states pipe in.
I have stock mufflers and TopGear (UK) 200 cell cats. It definitely improved the sound. It is a bit lower, with alot more grumble. I have the PSE though, and they sound better even at full muffler, just loud enough, yet still civilized. Open the PSE though, and I feel pretty rude driving through neighborhoods, so I save that for the wide open road.
The TopGear 200 cell cats did require after-CAT spacers to clear a CEL. And my state has no emissions checks, so I know nothing about that.
Unfortunately I don't have a video, and until I finally get my ride height/preload adjusted so that I can get it aligned, I'm not driving it yet.
Those are good points.
My Soul sport cats have never set off a CEL.
But they would not pass a visual inspection if an OEM cat is required.
For that the only 200 Cell that would pass would be these:
http://www.carnewal.com/products/996...nge-Sport-Cats
Where we are in AZ there is no emission test or inspections. In Phoenix they do test. Carnewal would be an option for the visual inspection issue, but Belgium is a long way to go for that. I suspect turn-around time and shipping costs would be unworkable, but worth an email to them. Or a CARB-approved cat might have to be the direction to go, at least there are points to argue if an inspector ever questioned the cats.
I have 200 cell top gear cats and stock mufflers. The cats produce a surprising sound increased. Personally, I don't think it sounds that good but most people like it. I also have 90 degree adapters and haven't had a CEL yet
I have my stock cat pipes from a 99 that I will sell. Good working condition no issues. I just went with the fab speed x pipes and cheater system. Pm me if you are interested. Im in the Houston Texas area.

Your other option is to cut out your old cats and sell them - should be worth some cash. replace it with either a cat such as Cargraphic below or with a pipe and add catted 02 sensor extension to prevent CEL
