Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just yesterday after closing the door, the window keeps going up and down in small motions, it won't stop unless I open the door a little, what part of the problem is this?

POST 2Original post

There is a micro switch connected to the door handle. It should lower the window when you pull up on it, and raise it when you let go if it is closed. Also a micro switch in the door latch mechanism that monitors when door is open. Pull up on the handle a little without opening door and then release and see if operates properly. If it does and then acts crazy when you open probably the latch.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I removed the lock and the doorknob, but as soon as you close it, it's crazy, you can still be crazy without the doorknob

POST 5Original post

Sounds like it's intermittent connection problem. I had broken solder joints on the circuit board inside the latch assembly. Specifically where the connector pins solder to the circuit board. I bet this is a common problem

POST 6Original post

Hey boys : Just throwing out that Sen is a genuine poster from Asia, and I believe he uses a translation program. Please be kind - the poor formatting may be at fault of his translation app and not aptitude of Rennlist. If you can help him he will try to translate your comments back into his language so please try to use as little slang as possible - it will help him. This is my only service to this conversation as I've helped Sen in the past. Can't help with this one, unfortunately.

POST 10Original post

If you have removed the door handle and lock and all associated micro switches with the handle mechanism and the window is still rolling up and down - my suspicion is you have a problem within the switch itself. Try pulling the associated fuses with your window switch and see if the issue stops. I am talking about the interior switch on the center gear shift console next to the arm rest storage compartment.

POST 11Original post

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a short in one window switch. But mine only happened when the headlights were on. A replacement switch solved it.

POST 12Original post

OK my problem is the passenger side window does not go down when I put the top down. It does back up automatically when I put the top back up. The window does move up and down wi the switch as normal. The small up/down when opening the door is normal. Durametric show no issues. Is there another microswitch or some other issue in the cab that might cause this? The passenger side door just not knowing that the top is going down so it does not go down?
