Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, New to this forum. Bought a 2001 911 Carrera 4 Convertible. Drove it for 30 days, car sat for 1.5 weeks, wouldn't turn over but had lights and radio. Charged battery, started car, drove for about 15 minutes. Next day, car wouldn't turn over again. Heard this is a common thing with this generation. Is this true?

POST 2Original post

POST 3Original post

What you didn't provide is how old the battery is. Anything over 3 years old is suspect. 15 minutes is not enough time for the battery to recharge. Also, car batteries do not like to be fully discharged or partially discharged and then recharged. Just doesn't work right after that. Time for a new battery.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The sticker on the battery says 6/19. I had no issues when I was driving it everyday.

POST 6Original post

You'll have to find the drain, checking draw at every fuse. In mine, it ended up being for some reason the red blinking light on the radio (which you can turn off in the radio's options). I know it sounds crazy, but I've seen it posted about once before, so im not the first, though I might be the second.
