It was $125 installed (External box is $80 I believe).

I only say ALMOST perfect because I still have to use the phone to change songs.

Goes right into the lighter hole (which I imagine few are using) and even has a spot for a couple of USB charging cables.

Recently I've been looking at bluetooth options for my GT2 and the Becker came up a lot. They offer an external box that goes in the back of the radio but when I called, they told me they offer the same thing internally as well so you don't have a box bouncing around back etc. I live close by so I took my radio there and took the plunge. It was $125 installed (External box is $80 I believe). I dropped my radio off and a week later it's done. Looks stock and I drove around today for a couple hours and didn't have any issues with anything coming from my phone (Waze, Spotify, Podcast etc). Can't say how happy I am about the choice. I did the typical FM Transmitter and 1/8th wire prior but this is CLEAN and now it connects to my phone every time I get in the car without any issues or extra steps. Probably the best $125 I've spent on the inside of the car so far.
This Becker unit seems cool, but I have been using this with no problems and LOVE IT!

Goes right into the lighter hole (which I imagine few are using) and even has a spot for a couple of USB charging cables. Phone functionality and you cannot beat the price. ANYONE curious should at least try this or something similar. I first used this for my daughter's 1st car, but it was awkward with the placement of the 996 lighter. So I tried the one above. I am sold on these devices!

Downsides are you have to connect each time and cannot skip songs from the device (you have to use your phone for all that). It basically connects to audio.
What I liked about it is that is not visible and it's diy as well as inexpensive.
I bought a $9.00 Ebay version of that. So far, I've only bench tested it to verify that my phone can see it. I'll report back after it's installed (assuming it works

All of those options are what I've been doing since I bought the car and just got tired of the extra mess and wanted the cleanest, best option to keep the OEM original look of the console. Obviously there is a price jump to go from $10-40 to $80 or $125 but Becker solved all of the little "issues" of the cheaper substitutes. I just wanted to let anyone who might not be as happy with whatever Amazon or eBay budget fix they are doing know that there is an ALMOST perfect fix and it's the two Becker options. I only say ALMOST perfect because I still have to use the phone to change songs.
