Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So this just happened. I snapped the little post the armrest attaches to. I saw some repair kits on eBay, but thought it best to consult the Rennlist community first. I guess I have my fist winter project in front of me.

POST 2Original post

Unfortunately fairly common problem. That is why there are kits on EBay. I do not have direct experience with any of them. Not a hard fix if you have the right tools. IE: Screwdriver, socket set, large hammer, chainsaw, etc... Someone with more experience will chime in soon. I'm pretty sure that Porsche changed the hinge ~2002.

POST 3Original post

I just fixed mine about a month ago. A kit of ebay or pelican/suncoast will work fine. The only tool you might not have is a hand rivet tool. The kit comes with two rivets than are part of the fix. Pretty easy to do overall, hardest part is getting the console out.

POST 4Original post

Known problem and easy to remedy. I replaced mine in '06 when I bought my C2. Works fine now. It even showed up on my PPI.
