I have done a reset of the DME by removing battery terminals, wait 10 minutes, touch pos and neg together, wait 24 hours, reconnect battery.

I am having an issue with the fuel trims on my 02 996. The RKat on bank one is 1.00 and bank 2 is 1.98. I know most RKat issues are a vacuum leak but all the ones I have seen show both banks at equal numbers. What would cause the banks to be so far apart from each other? Would it still be a vacuum leak? Edit: Maf is in the mid 15's at idle and does increase with RPM FRA is steady at .99 bank 1 and 1.00 bank 2 Thanks

The DME divides the fuel trims/adaptions into basically two 3 cylinder engines with a common MAF sensor. A faulty fuel injector or a vacuum leak VERY close to effected bank would cause a major difference in that bank only..

There is a run test for maf sensor. Can u monitor the voltages while driving? I dont have the targets or procedure but maybe someone here has it?

Sounds like a vacuum leak to me.. I'd expect a corrugated piece of tubing to be cracked. Perform a smoke test first, see what you find.
