Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I bolted mine on instead of using the plastic plugs.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Coilovers fixed it for my car, but I got new Michelin PS4 tires at the same time, so that may have had an effect as well.
It feels as though when the rear wing deploys over ~75mph, the front of the car begins to float a bit. This isn't the most reassuring feeling. I'm prepping to get some lowering springs, will that help?
I'd also love to find a GT3 type lower lip to add some resistance, does anyone have one?
Coilovers fixed it for my car, but I got new Michelin PS4 tires at the same time, so that may have had an effect as well. It did float quite a bit beforehand. I still feel like a lip would help out the wind turbulence at speed, but it's nothing like when I first got it. I did not like driving it at anything over 75 mph before the suspension upgrades.

I have an 02 C2 with 123k miles and I see the same issue. But more around 80+ mph and get that floating feeling. Interestingly I had the same with the 997 I had 10-12 years ago. Kinda figured it's how these cars are (or at least the ones I have which are the base models).
Thinking about the coilovers as well to take care of that and regardless as a suspension refresh for an almost 20 yr old car.
I recently installed the GT3 Cup spoiler on mine.
I didn't feel any float below triple digits beforehand.
I got a chance to hit triple digits yesterday and my 996 felt even more planted than usual.
I definitely needed a spoiler lip.
I like how the GT3 Cup spoiler is rubber too.
It will be more parking bump friendly than the stiff plastic ones.
It slightly scraped when returning home and pulling into my driveway, but I'm glad to know it should handle more abuse.

@TexSquirrel
looks like you have the aero kit, do you by chance know if the cup lip will fit on a non-aero bumper?
@4Driver4
may have been a little bit higher than 75 (could be 80), but definitely noticeable when the rear wing deploys after 75
@markschuler
thanks for the link! Will check this out - I've got my local dealer tracking one down now to see what they can find. $121 isn't bad though...
Could be your suspension is old, and your nose points up. Check your suspension:

Also, I put some "ez-lip" on last week, and all my wildest dreams came true.
It could probably be made to fit, but might require some modification or drilling of the bumper.
For the Aerokit, all the holes are already there. (Check and see if your bumper has 15 holes along the front edge)
I bolted mine on instead of using the plastic plugs.
My original hard plastic lip got broken off due to the plug failing.
Also the plastic one was a lit more rigid and broke instead of bent.
Here's the bottom of the GT3 lip:
.
Is caster adjustable on the 996?
Out of spec Toe will make your car feel "darty."
Old suspension bushing would loosen up the front end too.
If it were me, I would start with control arms/control arm links and possibly tie rod ends.
Then get a good alignment.
Lowering springs might help since it will likely force you to get an alignment.
That's the only reason why I think they might help.
I had the chance to take a look at a non-aerokit front bumper this weekend. (Was attempting to clear clogged fuel tank vent lines)
The non-aerokit bumper doesn't have any holes drilled for front lips, but it appears that the lip spoiler would likely fit if you drilled the 15 holes along the edge.
You might have to trim the lip spoiler at the edge of the fender, but I don't think that would be too difficult.
Sarcasm? I thought he was indicating that Salma Hayek was stranded on the road, and he just happened by at the right time. They went back to his place and she fixed him a nice Mexican dinner and after that....
