Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

As for the intake, they removed the resonator and replaced intake house with a silicone one.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

There is an 00 C4 with aero package that is intriguing me. It would help if I had bigger pictures.....but you know how that goes. I don't understand how people try to sell cars without good pictures. Anyhoo.....
This car has a replacement Pioneer double DIN radio/nav/Bluetooth unit, and after studying the pictures, it looks like the door panels were modified for the speaker enclosures. Am I crazy or does it look that way to you? Or was there some crazy factory option for this?
And after looking at many pictures of engines, I see multiple type of intake mods, K&N, another type I've seen, and this one looks more like a turbo intake hose that would be pressurized (I know it's not pressurized). The real thing I notice about this is the pipe from the stock airbox just below the orange intake hose is capped off where normally it "T's" into the intake pipe.
What is the purpose of the factory "T"? Any adverse effects by blocking it off? Just curious. Thanks!
As for the intake, they removed the resonator and replaced intake house with a silicone one. Some claim a slight performance improvement, but typically it is done purely for creating a bit more sound.
The T goes to the resonator which is essentially an intake muffler to reduce noise emissions. when you remove the resonator, which is a small box inside the airbox, you get a bit more area in the airbox which might slightly improve airflow (debateable)
Also, can't make out the writing, but looks like someone put "no oil" on the intake tube as if someone dumped oil in it one time?? or possibly just the mileage when the oil was changed?
I think the writing is for the oil weight to use. Seen it on many cars that are serviced at a shop. Hard to make out what tbis one say, maybe "0w50 Oil"?
The car that I posted has 80K miles and the engine was replaced at 64K miles. So that's partially the reason for some of the items you see....but I truly appreciate the feedback!
I'm going to look at it on Tuesday, will take FULL SIZE pictures and post here for your nit picking....I love it!
