I had mine replaced last year and my indie reset it and it's worked perfectly since.

Suggestion

If you used the emergency procedures on the top latch or the clamshell it definitely needs recalibration .The tricky part is recalibrating the top latch -even with shop manual pictures it takes some patience to figure it out .

Hi, this is my first post. I recently purchased a 2000 911 cabriolet. Shortly afterward I noticed a leak behind driver's wheel, traced it to the hydraulic cylinder for top, and sent both cylinders off to Cabriolet Hydraulics for rebuild. I installed rebuilt cylinders and a replacement passenger side hinge/flap assembly on Friday. I tried operating the top from door lock per instructions and nothing happened, but when I tried the rocker the clamshell closed and top latched as it should. However since then it will not work at all, I can hear a clicking behind me like something is trying to engage but nothing happens. I tried disconnecting the battery in hope of resetting something, still nothing and now I need to find my radio code. Is there a troubleshooting procedure or "hard reset" procedure I can try? Anything I should check? I would like to eliminate any possibilities before I take it to the dealer, or worse spend convertible season in Florida with the top up! Thanks in advance-

I think you'll need to take it to an indie or the dealership that has the top recalibration tool. I had mine replaced last year and my indie reset it and it's worked perfectly since. Good luck!

Sounds like it needs to be recalibrated which can be done with the Durametric and the shop manual . If you used the emergency procedures on the top latch or the clamshell it definitely needs recalibration .The tricky part is recalibrating the top latch -even with shop manual pictures it takes some patience to figure it out .
